Peisey, Les Arcs
Traditionally a farming village, Peisey maintains its cheese production to this day. Clusters of characterful old stone properties make this a popular village to visit and a pleasant change from the modern ski resorts in France. The beautiful Chalet Barthelemy is well located to access Les Arcs ski slopes or the super mountain walks as well as the wider Paradiski area.
You will find a couple of bars and restaurants in the village centre which is a short stroll away which makes it a convenient solution for guests during the team's day off during winter. There is a takeaway pizza service but if you fancy something a bit more special, Le Petit Hibou, situated at the end of the valley near the Nordic Centre is a good option or you can rent a raclette machine from the local cheese shop and have dinner in, sampling all the delicious local cheese.
Les Arcs, together with La Plagne have joined together to create Paradiski – one of the largest skiing areas in the French Alps. Using the revolutionary Vanoise Express (a double decker cable car taking up to 200 people) you can access both domains in just 4 minutes giving you 425km of slopes to enjoy & conquer!
