Ski Hire & Schools in Peisey Les Arcs

Ski Hire in Peisey Les Arcs

Sport 2000 (Noz Sports)

Based in Plan Peisey at the top of the 'lobster pots' from Peisey village, Noz Sports not only do they offer a range of skis and boards for all levels but also great discounts for our guests. Helmets are available too. They also will look after the equipment overnight so you can walk to the lift in normal boots not having to worry about lugging your gear back and forth.

You can either book directly or send us a list of names, height, level of skier and shoe size and they will be ready for your arrival. The latter option means that you only pay for the days used at the end of the period and, in case of an accident, you would not have to claim back on insurance for lost days on pre-booked/purchased ski hire.

Rental Republic

Rental Republic is an excellent personal ski and snowboard butler service. They deliver to your chalet and fit you there and then, taking all the hassle out of ski hire. No more queueing or walking to shops ever!

When your technician is 20 minutes away from the chalet they will send you a text to let you know so you don't have to hang around waiting. Each person then gets a personal equipment fitting from the technician who carry lots of spare boots, skis and boards and are trained to pass on their tips and tricks for comfy feet and safe skiing/snowboarding. They visit and fit until 10pm every day so you can get out on the slopes for first lift. There is no locker option with RR but Chalet Barthelemy has ample space in its heated boot and equipment room. is not available.

Need support in resort? Something not fitting well? Rental Republic are just a text message away and aim to be with you within the hour between 8am and 10pm, 7 days a week. Plus they will send you a text on the morning of your departure with a collection time slot!

Ski Lessons

It is advisable to book in advance especially during the peak weeks to avoid disappointment. We are happy to help if needed!

If you would like us to help arrange ski lessons for you, I require:

  • Name(s)
  • Whether adult or child (age for child)
  • level of proficiency
  • Preferred school
  • Type of lesson.
  • Credit card number to reserve (can be phoned through or sent via our secure online form)

There is a choice of ski schools in Peisey with each offering something different, be it set group lessons, more flexibility and choice or English instructors.

New Generation (English Ski School)

New Generation run a superb English ski school which offers smaller group lessons and private lessons. They are great for those that take their skiing seriously and want to advance quicker or for those that want a lesson in pure English!  We are happy to book the lessons or you can contact them direct, but be sure to explain which chalet you are staying in as you will not make a 9.00 am meeting time in Vallandry unless you have your own car, so aim for 11.30 or noon! They have limited instructors so early booking is absolutely necessary.

Please ask about Xmas, New Year and Half term timings and lesson types as they are run slightly differently.

Snowboarding Lessons

High Five Snowboarding

High Five Snowboarding opened in 2017 and takes small groups of 4 minimum and private lessons. They are based in Bourg St Maurice but will come up to Peisey. Rather than being skiers that teach boarding, they are snowboarding specialists and are passionate about teaching the sport to children as well as to adults. They speak English and have had great reviews from guests who have used this school last season so we highly recommend them.

  • Many thanks for a very enjoyable stay last week in Chalet Barthelemy. We both had an excellent Christmas. The chalet was as great as we remembered and the food was excellent in both taste and presentation and could not be faulted. Please pass on our feedback and thanks to Mike and Keisha. (Richard Dunstan, Jan 19)
  • Everything was perfect, the chalet, location, and communication. Pete and Pat were absolutely fantastic hosts and the food was amazing. (Jeanette Panayi, Jan 2019)
  • We have just returned from a stay in Chalet Hermine our hosts were Cat and Clive. It was our first experience of staying in a catered chalet and it was truly fabulous we had such an amazing time. We had welcome drinks with our hosts on the first evening and Cat asked us all our names, the following morning she greeted us all individually at breakfast considering there was 11 of us I was really impressed!! The food was amazing and perfect after a full day of skiing, especially the lamb tagine this was awesome! Cat and Clive could not do enough to help and made us feel so welcome. I would definitely use this chalet again and would recommend your chalets, the location could not have been better and having such great hosts just made the experience really special. (Jo Martin, 24 Jan 2019)
  • We would like to say our stay with you last week was excellent. The hosts were lovely and really great cooks, they made us feel relaxed and at home. We transferred from Genève with Mountain Rescue who also gave a brilliant service. I would definitely recommend both you and them to friends travelling in the area in the future. In fact, I met an old colleague at Geneva airport and gave her your company name as they ski every year in that area. We wish you all the best with your company for the future and sure it will go well. (Sue Collinge, 4th Feb 2019)
  • We cannot praise your Chalet Chanterelle highly enough. Booking our stay and the changes we requested were made very smoothly. Your staff were welcoming and friendly as was the chalet atmosphere. Warm cosy, clean and comfortable, we were very impressed. The food was great and much appreciated after a long drive. The Chalet location is ideal and free parking too. Having enjoyed our stay so much we will most definitely be back. We can hand on heart highly recommend Chalet Chanterelle. Thanks Guys, in particular thanks to Chris who is a star.
