SKI SCHOOL/ LIFT PASSES/ SKI HIRE

Pre- Booked Discounted Lift Passes

Dear Group Leader

Please forward the following information to the rest of your group:

We are once again offering a deal on pre-booked lift passes. The following types are available:

•  Peisey Vallandry/Les Arcs – this covers the whole of the Les Arcs area plus Peisey which is a great ski area in it’s own right. There is approx. 200 kms of piste so is ample for beginners, intermediates and those on a budget.

•  Paradiski Decouverte – This pass will allow you to ski Peisey Vallandry/Les Arcs and then one day in La Plagne using the cable car connection. This offers great value and a chance to sample the even bigger ski area of La Plagne for a day trip.

•  Paradiski Unlimited – The unlimited access pass to cover the entire area incorporating La Plagne aswell, so 420kms of piste and the amazing off piste the area offers. This pass will suit good to advanced skiers and those with unlimited budget! It also includes the one day access to the nearby resorts tbc.

Note: You can purchase an extension Paradiski pass for the day if you decide during your holiday that you would like to explore further.

How do I get my pass in advance?

If you would like us to purchase your passes in advance, it will not only save you money but also having to queue. You just need to email or send your group’s requirements.

Under 6 yrs receive a FREE pass – however along with Children and Seniors, proof of age (copy of official document) is required. These can be sent to me in France – Chalet Quanik, Le Villaret , 73210 , Peisey Nancroix , FRANCE or by email to skihiver@wanadoo.fr.

Deposits on passes are NO LONGER required. Passes are still recyclable and deposit boxes are provided once you have finished your week’s skiing. PHOTOS are NOT required for passes.

How Do I Pay?

Euros on arrival. We DO NOT accept credit cards or traveller’s cheques for payment on passes, however if you hold a French bank account, a French Euro cheque is acceptable. There are ATMs in Plan Peisey but please note they will only allow a minimum withdrawal per day. The bank in Les Arcs 1800 is open from Mon – Fri, so we advise you bring sufficient funds to pay for passes on arrival, especially if you want to get on the slopes immediately.

PLEASE NOTE YOU WILL ONLY RECEIVE YOUR PASS IF YOU HAVE THE APPROPRIATE PAYMENT!

PRICES

All prices are quoted in Euros. For shorter or longer periods, please ask. Children’s ages are between 6 and 14 years and Senior’s start at 60 years until 72 years old.

SPECIAL OFFERS

During week 22/12 to 29/12 Buy 2 adult passes - either Paradiski unlimited or Paradiski decouverte and a child pass is offered FREE. This offer is only valid to clients pre-booking through Ski Hiver.

FAMILY PASSES

Now available on Les Arcs passes - 2 adults and 2 children up to age of 17 pay only 665 Euros.  For additional children - costs on request

SKI HIRE

They are all carving type skis and suitable for up to good intermediates and the budget conscious. We have mainly adult sizes but larger children will also fit – smallest size boot is 4 and shortest ski is 140cms. The cost is 70 Euros for the skis, poles and boots package or 45 for Skis only. For any children age 14 or below – 50 Euros and 30 respectively.

Ski Hire is payable in resort at the end of your stay.

If you want to hire top range skis we offer a discount at the local shop in Peisey which also applies to children’s equipment. Helmets are available too.

SNOWBOARD HIRE

New this season – a mobile snowboard company will bring your pre-booked equipment to the chalet. If you are unsure of the board size required, then your boot size, your height and level of snowboarding will help to reserve in advance.

Use of helmets free of charge on all full package rentals. (limited stock).

SKI HIRE - Chalet Bellecote

The staff at Chalet Bellecote have vouchers for you for the local ski shop in Plan Peisey offering discount on all equipment. Prices range from Basic 90 Euros to Advanced 131 Euros skis and boots, 53 Euros for children (age 7 yrs – 12 yrs), 37 Euros (2 – 6 yrs) helmets 16 Euros .  You can pre-book your equipment to ensure you get what you want. 

SKI LESSONS

It is advisable to book in advance especially during the peak weeks to avoid disappointment. I am happy to do this for you. I require the name, adult or child (age for child), level of proficiency, ski school preferred, type of lesson. I will also need a credit card number to reserve – this can be phoned or faxed through – Fax no. 0033 479078456 or Tel 0033 479075349 (up to 12 th December) or use fax/phone number after that. There is a choice of 3 ski schools in our resort – all offering something different, be it cheap and cheerful, more flexibility and choice or English instructors.

Darentasia ( French Ski School )

This ski school are based in vallandry but will meet our clients (unless you are begineers) at the bootom of the 6 man chair in plan peisey or at the top of the lift. Like New Gen this ski school are open to ideas and are very much there for the client.

They have limited instructors so early booking is absolutely necessary.

Use this guide to work out your levels

Adults

Level 1 This is my first time skiing ever!

Level 2 I have tried skiing on snow or on a dry slope and find green runs a challenge.

Level 3 I can control my speed and turn on green slopes using a snowplough.

Level 4 I ski confidently parallel on blue runs. The plough comes back when it gets steep, narrow or icy.

Level 5 I ski red runs in good conditions. I enjoy speed, but struggle on bumps, steeps and ice.

Level 6 I can get down most blacks, and want to improve my off-piste skills.

Level 7 I can ski ‘everywhere’. Blacks are no problem and I enjoy off-piste.

Children:

Arrows I can ski a green run, controlling my speed, use a drag lift and might have tried a blue run.

Bombers I can ‘bomb’ down blue runs and sometimes get down a red run as well.

Rockets I can ski ‘everywhere’ - reds and beyond.

Teenage For 13-16 Year olds who want to have fun Clinics and develop their skiing. These clinics run during holiday weeks for Levels 4-7 only.

13-16 6 - 12 Year Old

Courses run Monday to Friday (9:15 or 11:30 start). Clinics normally run Monday and Wednesday afternoons (2-5pm) .
